Minimum Requirements
- Meet qualifications for State CNA II certification
- Successful completion of a Board-approved Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) training program
- Passed MA-C competency evaluation
Shift Differentials
- Evening (2p–10p): +$1.00/hr
- Night (10p–6a): +$0.80/hr
- Weekend (Fri 2p – Mon 6a): +$2.00/hr
Job Summary
Granite Rehabilitation and Wellness is looking for a Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) to administers prescribed medications to residents and maintains related medical records under supervision of Nurse. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, clinically sound professional, with a passion for providing quality care to the residents we are entrusted to care for.
Essential Functions
- Verifies identity of resident receiving medication and records name of drug, dosage, and time of administration on specified forms or records.
- Presents medication to resident and observes ingestion or other application, or administers medication, using specified processes.
- Takes vital signs
- Documents reasons prescribed drugs are not administered.
- Receive supply of ordered medications and apportion, mix, or assemble drugs for administration to resident.
- Record and restock medication inventories.
Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements
- Active certification in the state of Wyoming as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Must hold or be eligible for Medication Aide-Certified (MA-C) in Wyoming
- Meets qualifications for CNA II certification (as required by state guidelines)
- Successful completion of a Board-approved MA-C training program and competency evaluation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to safely administer medications under nurse supervision
