Position Summary

• Provides physical therapy treatments to patients under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist to enhance independence and functioning.

Responsibilities

• Attend patient care conferences and meetings as a representative of physical therapy.
• Deliver rehab services effectively and efficiently, adhering to the plan of care, schedules, and documentation requirements.
• Collaborate with the rehabilitation team to implement patient-specific programs.
• Assist the Physical Therapist with tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
• Instruct patients, families, and caregivers in physical therapy techniques under supervision.
• Maintain timely and appropriate documentation for all treated patients.
• Clean, maintain, and report equipment repair needs.
• Ensure patients and families receive high-quality, compassionate care.
• Implement individualized treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist.
• Provide various physical therapy treatments, including therapeutic exercises, functional training, manual therapy, airway clearance techniques, integumentary repair, and use of therapeutic modalities.

Compliance Requirements

• Adhere to legal requirements, standards, policies, and procedures, including the Compliance and Ethics Program, Code of Conduct, Federal False Claims Act, and HIPAA.
• Participate in orientation, training, quality assurance, and process improvement activities.
• Report concerns or non-compliance issues promptly and cooperate with audits and investigations.

Environmental Conditions

• Work primarily indoors (90%) with occasional outdoor activities (10%).
• Exposure to noise, vibrations, hazards, moving machinery, uneven ground, and protective clothing is required.

Work Situations

• Involves measurable criteria, dealing with people, repetitive tasks, performing under stress, problem-solving, and following instructions.

Occupational Exposure

• Category I exposure.
