As a MediCal Biller you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our communities billing and revenue cycle processes. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team in Los Angeles, CA.
About the Role
As a MediCal Biller, you will be responsible for billing MediCal patients and ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims to MediCal. You will also be responsible for resolving billing errors and discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records of patient billing information. You will work closely with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and resolution of billing issues.
Responsibilities
- Accurately and efficiently bill MediCal patients, including application of diagnosis codes, surgical procedures, and other billing requirements
- Verify and validate patient demographics, insurance information, and billing protocols
- Resolve billing errors and discrepancies, and follow up with patients and insurance companies to ensure timely resolution
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient billing information, including billing statements and payment plans
- Collaborate with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and resolution of billing issues
- Meet productivity and accuracy standards for MediCal billing
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to improve billing processes and outcomes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in medical billing or a related field is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in medical billing software
