RN Nursing Supervisor Responsibilities
- Supervise and support nursing staff during assigned shifts
- Oversee daily nursing operations and ensure quality resident care
- Provide clinical leadership to RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Monitor residents’ conditions and ensure appropriate interventions are provided
- Communicate with physicians, residents, and families regarding changes in condition and care needs
- Ensure medications, treatments, and nursing services are provided according to care plans
- Respond to emergencies and changes in resident condition
- Review nursing documentation and ensure accurate and timely charting
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Support infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and state and federal regulations
- Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to nursing staff
- Help maintain a safe, professional, and resident-focused environment
Qualifications
- Active New Jersey RN license
- Prior long-term care or skilled nursing experience required
- Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to lead and motivate nursing staff
- Strong knowledge of nursing standards and regulations
- Compassionate and resident-focused approach to care
