Job Summary
Respiratory Therapist Registered, RT PEDS. This position provides respiratory therapy services in an acute care setting, including nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gases, bilevel positive airway pressure, ventilator support, neonatal resuscitation equipment, and high-flow therapy. The role supports patient care across units and departments as needed.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credentials through the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC); Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA); active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; minimum of 3 years of respiratory therapy experience.
- Schedule: Day shifts consisting of three 12-hour shifts per week, totaling 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and every other holiday required.
- Float: Float rotation may be required.
- Additional Information: Responsibilities include general respiratory therapy, nebulizer treatments, arterial blood gases, bilevel positive airway pressure, ventilator support, neonatal resuscitation equipment, and high-flow therapy. Equipment includes Servo Classic, Servo Lite, V60, Parapac, Vapotherm, and electrocardiogram equipment. The position supports a 12-bed medical-surgical unit in an acute care setting, with training provided on equipment and workflow. Any color of scrubs may be worn.
- Assignment Dates: 11/09/2026–02/08/2027.
