Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,247 a week in all, a taxable rate of $27.21 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor Nurse in the Medical Surgical (MS) specialty is responsible for providing high-quality patient care on a rotating shift basis. This role involves working in a dynamic, acute care environment, with the ability to adapt to various clinical scenarios and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams within the healthcare organization.

Job Details

• Position Description: The nurse will work on a Medical Surgical floor, providing comprehensive care to patients, including occasional pediatric surgical cases such as ENT or orthopedic procedures.
• Required Qualifications: WI RN license, AHA or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS); associate degree or certificate; at least 2 years of recent med-surg experience (candidates with 1.5 years may be considered); minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
• Schedule: Rotating, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week, with every other weekend and holiday rotation.
• Additional Information: The assignment requires charting in EPIC and may include floating to similar units such as Howard Young, Tomahawk, and Eagle River, with pre-scheduled float periods if necessary. During the flu season, staff declining flu and COVID vaccinations are required to wear a mask at all times, in accordance with organizational policies.
