Job Summary

Medical Surgical Floor - Woodruff, WI. The position provides inpatient support for adult patients with acute medical and surgical conditions, including respiratory illnesses, neurological conditions, renal failure, sepsis, and wound care. The role requires flexibility with rotating shifts and floating to inpatient units as needed.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Wisconsin Certified Nursing Assistant certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; high school diploma; minimum of 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; experience with Epic charting.
• Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts, including variable days and nights, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend and holiday rotation is every other occurrence.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Patient care responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, obtaining full vital signs, point-of-care blood glucose monitoring, Foley care, bladder scans, peripheral intravenous removal, ostomy care, one-to-one observation, lift equipment operation, postmortem care, occupied bed changes, telemetry lead placement, intake and output monitoring for drains, ambulation assistance, chest tube care, and gait belt use. The position supports patients with behavioral health and withdrawal needs and requires proper personal protective equipment use. Patient assignments may range from 1:10 to 1:15. A positive attitude, resilience, flexibility, timely task completion, independent work, and collaboration with the care team are expected.
