Buckeye Hospice and Palliative Care Services is seeking a compassionate and dependable State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to provide supportive care to hospice patients throughout the Freemont, Ohio community.
As a hospice STNA, you will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping provide comfort, dignity, and support during their hospice journey.
What You'll Do
- Provide personal care and assistance to patients according to the individualized plan of care.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to the appropriate nurse.
- Promote patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety.
- Provide compassionate support to patients and caregivers.
- Communicate effectively with members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Complete required documentation accurately and timely.
- Follow infection control, safety, and hospice care procedures.
What We're Looking For
- Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification.
- Previous healthcare, hospice, home health, or long-term care experience preferred.
- Compassionate and respectful approach to patient care.
- Dependable and professional.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while following the established plan of care.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as applicable.
