About the Role
As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for providing direct care to our residents under the supervision of our licensed nurses. Your duties will include:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and under the supervision of licensed nurses
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of resident medications and treatments
- Assisting with vital sign checks, including temperature, blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates
- Assisting with resident transfers, ambulation, and mobility exercises
- Providing individualized care to residents with various needs and abilities
- Maintaining a clean and safe environment for our residents
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care
Requirements
- Currently certified as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Texas
- 2 years of experience in a long-term care setting or equivalent
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and respectful attitude towards residents and colleagues
