About the Role

As a Wound Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and promoting wound healing. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans, educate residents and families, and monitor clinical outcomes. Your passion for wound care and commitment to patient-centered care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Act as a liaison between the Wound Specialist Physician and the nursing staff
• Participate in the development and achievement of Wound Care Program and objectives
• Provide educational programming and staff development functions
• Assist in the implementation of and monitor compliance with policies, procedures, and standards of practice
• Collaborate with the Interdisciplinary Team to promote wound healing
• Provide direct resident care in the assessment, treatment, and follow-up for wound management
• Assist in the implementation of an individualized treatment plan for each assigned resident

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required
• Must possess current Wound Care and CPR certifications
• Minimum of one (1) year of Wound Care experience required, two (2) years preferred
• Must possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a RN or LPN in the state of Florida
