Spiritual Care Specialist

• Provide compassionate religious and spiritual care to patients, families, and staff, addressing emotional and spiritual distress while honoring diverse beliefs and cultural backgrounds.
• Deliver pastoral ministry through sacraments, rituals, blessings, and liturgical services within the hospital and broader community.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support holistic patient care and maintain meaningful connections through regular visitation and communication.
• Mentor and supervise Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) students and fellows, supporting their professional and spiritual development.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• Chaplain obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Board Certification from the APC, NACC, CASC, or the NAJC at time of hire or job transfer.

Education

• Master's degree in Theology, Spirituality, Social Work, Divinity, Philosophy, Servant Leadership, Pastoral Studies or a related field from an accredited school is required. 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education accredited by the ACPE, CPEI, or CPSP is required.
