This position requires 12-hour night shifts from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend and holiday coverage as required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist will be responsible for providing respiratory care to patients, including the operation of ventilators, high-flow nasal cannulas, and CPAP/BiPAP devices. The role includes assessing patients' respiratory needs, developing care plans, and implementing appropriate interventions. The therapist will work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for patients.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed.
• Perform assessments and monitor patients' respiratory status.
• Manage mechanical ventilation and various respiratory modalities.
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment usage.
• Document patient care activities in compliance with facility policies.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of current experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Previous travel experience is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of Draeger Hamilton T1 ventilators, HFNC, Philips V60 BPAP/CPAP devices, and related equipment.
• Must have a valid driver's license and personal vehicle.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• Active American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification is highly preferred.
• Valid respiratory therapy license in the state of New Hampshire.
