Job Description
The Special Procedures Technologist plays a crucial role in the Interventional Radiology department, supporting a variety of procedural interventions. This position requires a well-versed individual in imaging techniques and patient care, ensuring high-quality standards in a dynamic clinical environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with imaging procedures in the Interventional Radiology department.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during procedures.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to administer medications and care as necessary.
- Maintain equipment and ensure it functions correctly for optimal imaging results.
- Document all procedures accurately in patient records.
Required Experience
- Must have Interventional Radiology tech experience.
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current ARRT certification in Special Procedures (within 18 months of hire).
- Current ARRT certification in Radiography.
- Licensed as a Medical Radiographer in the State of Nebraska.
- American Heart Association's ACLS and BLS for Healthcare Providers certified.
