Variable shifts include weekends with times such as 07:45-16:15, 08:00-16:30, 08:45-17:15, 09:00-17:30, 09:30-18:00, and 10:30-19:00.
Job Description
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) will provide high-quality care in urgent care and emergency settings. Responsibilities include patient care rooming, taking vitals, administering IV fluids and medications, rapid intakes, catheter administration, mixing and IM injections, and assisting providers with minor surgical procedures.
Responsibilities
- Conduct patient care rooming and obtain vital signs.
- Administer IV fluids and medications as directed.
- Perform blood draws, IV administration, EKGs, and physicals.
- Assist with catheter insertion, splinting, and tray procedure setup.
- Conduct employer physicals, drug screens, and BAT testing.
- Support providers in minor surgical procedures.
Required Experience
- 2-3 years of experience in an urgent care or emergency department setting.
- Experience with Cerner EHR and trauma level I or II facilities is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current LVN license.
- IV certification, BLS, and ACLS required.
