About the job
The Orchard at Big Rapids is looking for you a consistent PRN or Part time SLP to join our in-house team. Under new ownership!
Pay starts at $50.00 per hour (PRN) and increases based on experience.
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. The ideal candidate will work primarily in a SNF/LTC setting, providing essential speech therapy services to older adults and geriatrics with communication Stroke, swallowing and a number of other issues. This role requires a deep understanding of speech therapy techniques and patient assessment
Ideal candidates will have experience with LTC and SNF and a background using Net Health
Responsibilities
- Evaluate residents for swallowing, speech, language, and cognitive deficits.
- Develop and implement treatment plans to improve communication, cognition, and swallowing function.
- Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and strategies.
- Monitor residents' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation and complete daily billing.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to enhance resident care and outcomes.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license or eligibility for licensure.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology ( CCC-SLP ) preferred.
- Experience working with the geriatric population is a plus.
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills.
