Key Responsibilities

• Provide training and ongoing support to facility Business Office Managers (BOMs) to ensure accurate and efficient billing practices.
• Prepare and process claims for Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing (manual and electronic).
• Resolve claims from initial submission through payment, including addressing denials and rejections.
• Assist BOMs with collections and ensure timely, accurate month-end close processes.
• Audit facility billing and revenue cycle workflows to verify adherence to company standards and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Participate in monthly A/R reviews and other assigned duties.
• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for critical processes such as triple-check reviews and resident trust fund management
• Lead facility-level revenue cycle initiatives, including staff education, admission coordination, and social work support as it relates to business office only.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of billing or business office experience in long-term care.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and insurance billing regulations.
• Familiarity with UB04 forms and electronic billing processes.
• Experience with claim denials, appeals, and resolution.
• Proficiency in MatrixCare (preferred).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor.
