Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Rutland Center for Living and Rehabilitation in Rutland, Vermont. As a COTA Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work closely with our occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to our patients, promoting independence, mobility, and overall well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist occupational therapists in the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on strengthening, walking, and functional mobility exercises
- Conduct occupational therapy treatments, including but not limited to: range of motion exercises, muscle strengthening, and functional activities
- Use assistive technology, such as wheelchairs, walkers, and assistive devices, to enhance patient mobility and independence
- Educate patients, families, and caregivers on proper use of assistive devices and compensatory strategies to maintain independence
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatment and progress
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
- Adapt and modify treatment plans as needed to meet the changing needs of patients
