Ridge Valley Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. In this role, you’ll work under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help residents improve daily living skills, regain independence, and enhance their overall quality of life in a supportive long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapeutic interventions and exercises according to treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living to promote independence and functional ability.
• Document therapy sessions accurately and monitor resident progress.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, residents, and families to support individualized care goals.
• Educate residents, families, and staff on restorative techniques and home exercise programs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide coverage at nearby facilities as needed based on resident care needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current state license or registration as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and assist residents with mobility.
• Strong communication, organization, and time management skills.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to resident-centered care.
