About the job
NYU Langone Fertility Center is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible REI physician for a full-time surgical coverage role. This position does not include a patient panel, clinic hours, or continuity of care responsibilities - it is dedicated to OR-based procedural coverage and associated call.
Responsibilities
- Perform transvaginal oocyte retrievals
- Perform embryo transfers
- Perform D&Cs and related gynecologic procedures as needed
- Take call for urgent/after-hours retrievals, transfers, and related procedures on a rotating basis
- Coordinate with the anesthesiologists, embryology lab, surgical and recovery teams to ensure smooth OR flow
- Maintain procedural documentation and case logs per NYULFC protocol
Qualifications
- MD/DO with REI fellowship training; Board Certified or Board Eligible in REI
- Active or eligible NY medical license
- Demonstrated OR proficiency in ART procedures
- Ability to commit to a full-time OR block schedule plus rotating call
