Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification; medical-surgical experience; ability to care for telemetry patients; strong physical assessment and critical thinking skills; ability to manage care for patients with multiple co-morbidities.
• Preferred Qualifications: Telemetry experience; prior orthopedic, neurological, and trauma experience; experience with Meditech.
• Schedule: Night shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Perform wound care and dressing changes, manage wound vacs, administer blood products, manage patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) and epidurals, and manage chest tubes.
• Unit Information: The unit has 36 beds, typical patient ratios of 6:1, and equipment including telemetry monitors, intravenous infusion pumps, bladder scanners, electrocardiogram (EKG) equipment, enteral feeding pumps, bilevel positive airway pressure (BiPAP) equipment, heated high-flow oxygen systems, wound vacs, patient-controlled analgesia (PCA) pumps, trapeze equipment, vein finders, and Dopplers.
