Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients in a 25-bed medical-surgical unit. The role includes night shifts, weekend and holiday rotation, and floating to the Emergency Department within demonstrated competency.

Job Details

  • Assignment: 11/16/2026–02/13/2027
  • Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week.
  • Required Qualifications: Current Michigan Registered Nurse license; American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; associate degree or certificate; minimum of 2 years of medical-surgical nursing experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Emergency Department experience; experience working across multiple departments.
  • Float: Float rotation may be required.
  • Clinical Responsibilities: Provide general nursing care primarily for geriatric patients with conditions such as heart failure, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and diabetes.
  • Unit Details: Patient ratios are approximately 1:4 to 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night.
  • Operational Requirements: Every other weekend and holiday rotation; may be placed on call based on census; call-back minimum is 2 hours.
  • Attire: Any colored scrubs.
