Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,177 a week in all, a taxable rate of $25 an hour plus $1,276.72 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse – Intensive Care Unit. The role provides comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients requiring critical care services, including management of complex medical conditions, advanced monitoring, and life-support interventions. The position supports a collaborative care environment and may require rotation to inpatient units based on patient census.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Two years of staff-level intensive care experience; California registered nurse license in hand; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Level I or Level II trauma experience.
• Schedule: Night shifts consisting of 12-hour shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is every other weekend, including four weekend shifts per four-week schedule.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The role serves adult and geriatric patients in an intensive care setting with a typical patient ratio of two patients per nurse. Clinical responsibilities may include ventilator management, central and arterial line care, continuous intravenous sedation, blood product administration, cardiac and vasoactive drip titration, renal replacement therapy, stroke management, chest tube care, intracranial pressure monitoring, isolation precautions, and post-operative cardiac and neurosurgical care. Charting experience with EPIC is required. Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and unit secretarial support. Orientation includes 12 hours, with required pre-start training modules.
