Job Summary
Sterile Processing Technician – Sterile Processing. This position supports multispecialty surgical procedures in an operating room setting. Responsibilities include instrument and equipment processing, sterilization monitoring, tray assembly, and maintaining aseptic technique.
Job Details
- Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; lead experience required; travel experience required; International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materiel Management (IAHCSMM) or Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA) certification required; demonstrated skills in acute hospital operating room sterile processing, aseptic technique, high-level disinfection, endoscope and scope/probe reprocessing, instrument tray assembly, sterilization wrapping, steam sterilization testing and monitoring, equipment operation and documentation, and use of sterilizers and washers.
- Schedule: Five 8-hour mid shifts from 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM, 40 hours per week. Four 10-hour shifts with rotating weekends may also be considered. Every other weekend and weekend on-call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM may be required.
- Additional Information: The role supports multispecialty surgeries and may involve processing equipment including Sterrad systems, Steris autoclaves, and washers. Holiday coverage is required as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and department may be required. A 24-hour orientation is provided. A flu vaccine is required with no exemptions. The assignment is scheduled to begin 11/09/2026 and continue for 16 weeks.
