Licensed Practical Nurse, Clinic (No Specific Specialty) provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises nursing assistant activities in a long-term care setting. The role supports medication administration, treatment planning, documentation, resident and family education, and coordination with physicians and nursing personnel while maintaining quality, safety, confidentiality, and resident rights.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or graduation from an approved Licensed Practical Nurse program; current, unencumbered, active Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse license; Basic Life Support (BLS), cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) program certification; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; knowledge of nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines applicable to nursing care facilities; leadership, supervisory, organizational, communication, and independent decision-making skills; ability to provide age-appropriate resident care; ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds and meet the physical and sensory requirements of the position.
• Responsibilities: Provide direct resident care; supervise nursing assistants; administer medications and treatments; perform catheterization, tube feedings, suctioning, dressing changes, colostomy and drainage bag care, specimen collection, routine laboratory testing, vital-sign monitoring, and range-of-motion exercises; complete admission, transfer, discharge, treatment, medication, and care documentation; communicate with physicians and nursing personnel regarding resident care; support resident and family education; maintain confidentiality and protected health information; participate in inspections and resident orientation activities.
• Schedule: Rotating shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Assignment Dates: 12/01/2026 through 02/27/2027.
