Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,053 a week in all, a taxable rate of $15 an hour plus $1,453.38 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Dietitian, Diet - Houston, Texas. The Dietitian provides nutrition screening, assessments, reassessments, and nutrition-focused physical examinations in an acute care environment. The role collaborates with interdisciplinary care teams, supports patient-centered nutrition care, and participates in rotating on-call and weekend coverage.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Registered Dietitian or Registered Dietitian Nutritionist credential through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR); Licensed Dietitian in the State of Texas; knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and Nutrition Care Process (NCP); strong communication, critical-thinking, clinical judgment, organization, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills; proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation.
• Preferred Qualifications: One to two years of clinical experience; master’s degree or higher; experience in an acute care environment; ability to work independently, adapt to changing patient needs, prioritize competing responsibilities, and maintain a patient-centered approach.
• Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Responsibilities include completing nutrition assessments and reassessments within required clinical and regulatory timeframes, conducting nutrition-focused physical examinations, participating in interdisciplinary rounds and patient care discussions, addressing patient diet concerns and nutrition-related issues, maintaining patient confidentiality, and completing required competencies and education. Rotating on-call and weekend coverage may be required.
