About the job
Caregiver – Rochester Hills, MI
CareOne Senior Care is looking for a reliable and caring caregiver to join our team for a full-time position in Rochester Hills. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, providing dependable support, and getting to know the person they care for.
Schedule
Monday–Friday: 11:00 AM–8:00 PM
Saturday–Sunday: 11:00 AM–7:00 PM
Consistent hours are available for someone who can reliably work this schedule.
About the Position
This is a non-medical home care position providing day-to-day assistance and companionship. The client is fairly independent but benefits from help with household activities, transportation, meals, errands, and maintaining a comfortable routine.
What You'll Do
- Spend time with the client and provide friendly companionship
- Help with light cleaning, laundry, and household organization
- Prepare meals and assist with meal-related tasks
- Provide medication reminders as outlined in the care plan
- Transport the client in their vehicle when needed
- Assist with errands and scheduled appointments
- Encourage a safe and comfortable home environment
- Provide assistance with the client's normal daily routine
- Keep the office and family informed of important updates
- Complete required shift documentation
What We're Looking For
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Comfortable operating the client's vehicle
- Good driving history preferred
- Dependable transportation to the client's home
- Reliable and punctual
- Professional and respectful communication
- Able to perform the essential duties of the position
- Able to lift up to 25 pounds
- Successful completion of required background screening
- Current TB test or willingness to complete one
- Access to a reliable phone for communication and scheduling
Previous home care experience is a plus, but we are willing to consider dependable candidates who are new to caregiving.
Pay & Benefits
$15–$17 per hour
- Some specialty assignments offer up to $20 per hour
