Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Avir at Sulphur Springs in Sulphur Springs, Texas. As a CMA, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of quality care for our patients. With a focus on patient-centered care, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of those in our care. As a Certified Medication Aide, you will work a double weekend schedule, providing comprehensive medication management and support to our clinical team.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications to patients as prescribed by the attending physician, in accordance with company policies and state regulations
• Monitor and document patient medications, including vital signs and medication side effects
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Perform routine tasks such as taking vital signs, vital observation, and basic patient care
• Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and other mobility needs
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and medication administration
• Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current certifications and competencies

Requirements

• Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Texas
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to lift, transfer, and reposition patients as needed
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities and situations
