Business Office Manager - Skilled Nursing Facility (temporary coverage, option to continue)

Atlas Rehabilitation and Healthcare at Daughters of Moses Campus in Clifton, NJ is seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to cover our business office for the coming months, with the option to continue long-term.

This role involves overseeing the Medicaid coordination process and daily business office operations in our skilled nursing facility. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Medicaid eligibility determination, billing, and reimbursement in a long-term care setting, coupled with excellent leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide residents and their families through the Medicaid application process, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all required documentation.
• Coordinate with residents, families, and Medicaid offices to expedite the processing of applications and address any issues or concerns.
• Monitor Medicaid reimbursements and work to resolve any billing discrepancies or denials promptly.
• Oversee daily business office functions, including billing, collections, petty cash, and resident accounts.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and all federal, state, and local regulations governing Medicaid billing and reimbursement.
• Maintain accurate records of Medicaid applications, approvals, and denials; prepare reports and assist with internal audits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Medicaid coordination, billing, and reimbursement in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting. SNF business office experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Medicaid regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Medicaid management software.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to multitask effectively.

This is a full-time, on-site position covering a leave period, with the option to continue depending on the facility's needs. Competitive compensation offered.
