Job Description

The Cath Lab Tech will be responsible for assisting in various procedural activities within the cardiac catheterization lab. This role involves preparing the environment for procedures, providing support during procedures, and ensuring that equipment is functioning optimally.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including positioning and monitoring vital signs.
• Maintain and operate equipment used in procedures, ensuring proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols.
• Document procedures accurately in accordance with facility policies.
• Educate patients on the procedure process and post-care instructions.

Required Experience

• Prior experience in a cardiac cath lab setting preferred.
• Knowledge of cardiovascular equipment and technology.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current certification as a Cath Lab Technician (if applicable).
• Current BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
