Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the nursing department, including staffing, scheduling, and budgeting
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Provide leadership and guidance to the nursing staff, including licensed nurses, certified nursing assistants, and other support staff
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training and development opportunities to nursing staff
• Monitor and improve quality metrics, including patient satisfaction, survey results, and clinical outcomes
• Foster a culture of empathy, respect, and open communication among staff, residents, and families
• Develop and maintain relationships with community partners, including hospitals, physicians, and other healthcare providers

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or related field
• Current RN license with active status
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a nursing leadership role, preferably in a long-term care setting
• Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in gerontological nursing
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing circumstances
