How this pay compares

This assignment posts $1,802 a week, the agency's gross: a taxable hourly rate plus housing and meal stipends. Open travel labor and delivery nurse assignments post a median of $2,481 a week, the middle half $2,152 to $2,758, across 708 assignments, so this one is below the middle half of what they post. Staff pay is hourly and carries no stipends, so it is not set beside it.

Hilo Benioff Medical Center - Hilo, HI

Hilo Benioff is the Big Island's main hospital - a 157-bed community and regional center where RNs carry a broad med/surg, emergency, and critical-care load far from any larger facility.

  • A Level III trauma center with Hawaii's second-busiest emergency department (28 beds); the state's only Level I, Queen's in Honolulu, takes the most severe trauma, so Hilo stabilizes and transfers.
  • The only hospital in Hawaii with two AACN Beacon Award units - its ICU and Progressive Care Unit - in place of Magnet.
  • An Advanced Primary Stroke Center with dedicated trauma, heart-attack, and stroke activation teams.
  • 250 clinicians across 30-plus specialties and a nine-clinic network - generalist breadth for travelers.
