Job Overview

Aberjona Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, a 123-bed skilled nursing facility, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Weekend Supervisor to lead our nursing team and provide high-quality, compassionate care to our residents. In this role, you will oversee nursing staff, coordinate resident care, support daily clinical operations, and ensure compliance with established care standards, facility policies, and applicable regulations. The ideal candidate is a confident clinical leader who can make sound decisions, communicate effectively, and promote a positive care environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support LPNs, CNAs, Medication Technicians, and Restorative Aides on assigned units.
• Provide direct nursing care, including wound care, IV administration, colostomy care, tube feedings, and suctioning, as needed.
• Administer medications, transcribe and carry out physician orders, and monitor residents for changes in condition or adverse reactions.
• Participate in resident admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Conduct regular nursing rounds to assess resident needs and ensure staff adherence to facility policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate resident care and support positive outcomes.
• Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) activities, regulatory surveys, and end-of-life care as needed.
• Maintain compliance with federal and Massachusetts regulations, infection prevention protocols, and facility standards.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and high standards of resident care throughout weekend operations.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
• Current CPR certification.
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing facility experience preferred; not required.
• Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and respond appropriately to changing resident needs.
