RemoExperts

RemoExperts (REX, run by Remoexperts Inc., a Delaware company that launched in 2025) recruits degreed professionals to train and evaluate AI models, from scientists and engineers to clinicians, lawyers and financial analysts. On 2 November 2026 two of its open posts were for health professionals: a Clinical Medicine AI Specialist (an MD, MBBS or equivalent, or a clinical or biomedical MSc or PhD) reviewing AI clinical summaries and diagnostic and triage suggestions at $70 to $150 an hour, and a certified Pharmacy Technician checking AI answers on medications and pharmacy workflows at $35 an hour, adjusted by country of residence. Contractors' reports of it are polarized.

Is RemoExperts a legitimate company to work for?

Checked Oct 2026 against

Mostly. A 2025 Delaware company, Remoexperts Inc., runs rex.zone and pays for the hours it approves, typically once a month, by Wise, Payoneer or Stripe, it says. Ownership is undisclosed and its record is short. The hurdle is landing paid hours. A degree, a no-retake entry exam and a Persona ID check come first; many who pass, clinicians included, wait months for a project, and some report abrupt offboarding with the last month unpaid. It pays $35–$150/hr (employer-stated).

Who is behind it
The operator of portal.rex.zone is Remoexperts Inc., trading as RemoExperts or REX: incorporated in Delaware, registered in California at a Mountain View address. Its projects span AI annotation and evaluation, coding, STEM and creative tasks. It names no founder or client, and its domains date only from August and September 2025. To some reviewers it is Abaka AI; its California agent bears the name of Abaka AI's COO, but no link is acknowledged.
Getting paid
REX settles approved, completed hours via Stripe, Payoneer or Wise, normally monthly and on some projects faster. Its open posts on 29 October 2026 numbered 39, all but one stating hourly pay between $20 and $150; 23 flagged a country-of-residence adjustment. In one ex-contractor's account, work done through the 25th was paid by the 5th.
Worker ratings
Trustpilot 3.8/5 (96 reviews). Read October 2026.
Who can join
Remote; both health posts accepted every country on 2 November 2026. Registration is not available in every region, and you work only from your verified primary location.
Fake RemoExperts recruiters
REX has posted no scam warning, and we found no case of someone impersonating its recruiters. Genuine addresses are rex.zone, which remoexperts.com forwards to, and portal.rex.zone, home of its open posts; recruitment@rex.zone is its contact email. No joining fee appears in its FAQ, and nobody should be paid for access to work.

What people praise

  • Reviewers giving five stars (in Egypt, India, Nigeria, Romania and other countries) credit responsive project managers, a weekly meeting and payments that come when promised.
  • Rates are out in the open: 38 of 39 portal posts on 29 October 2026 named one, 28 began at $50 an hour or higher, and medical, finance, software, chemistry and engineering experts topped out at $150.
  • Its FAQ states the rules plainly: a single entry exam that cannot be retaken, a bachelor's degree for all, no AI tools or VPNs, and what gets someone taken off a project.

What people complain about

  • Among one-star reviews, many people were stopped by the Persona ID check or by the single-try exam (one scoring 85.5%, another 96%) and heard nothing from support; others resent sending a diploma and ID for no work.
  • Two-star reviews tell of passing every check and then months without a project, offboarding with no warning, and the final month's pay held back; REX answered that final payments now come first.
  • A contractor offboarded in April 2026 says referral rewards ($100 per referee who passed, at first) stopped showing up in January 2026 and were never paid in full, and pay was often late or went to the wrong account.
  • Expect close monitoring: some exams and projects run only with REX's KeepAlive extension installed, its portal and app may record your precise location, and an automated risk score can limit your pay and projects.
Who it suits

Best for: A physician, pharmacist or other health professional with a degree who can clear a one-try exam and an ID check and wants remote project work at a stated hourly rate. Not for: Those without a bachelor's degree, those needing steady hours or swift support replies, anyone who relies on AI tools or a VPN at work, and anyone uneasy about sharing ID, selfies, location and tracked work time.

Honest catches

  • Pay here is employer-stated, not measured live from a job feed, so treat it as a benchmark rather than a guaranteed rate.

Signing up with RemoExperts

Researched Oct 2026

Approved hours are paid, usually each month, once you have opened an account at portal.rex.zone with every required field filled, sat the single-attempt Entry Exam (15 to 20 minutes), cleared Persona's ID check, applied to posts under Open Opportunities, passed any exam a post sets and said yes to a project invitation.

Eligibility

  • A completed bachelor's degree is REX's floor for everyone, and harder projects may want extra certifications or specialist depth on top. Oddly, the FAQ also welcomes students, provided local law lets them work at their age.
  • Enough English to read instructions, since every guideline is written in English.
  • For Persona's identity verification, a government ID that has not expired plus a selfie; Persona also confirms you are in a region REX accepts.
  • A home in a region REX serves. Its privacy policy says sign-up is not open everywhere, that you may work only from the Primary Location you verified, and that certain projects are limited to particular countries or states.
  • Working without a VPN and without AI tools such as ChatGPT, Gemini or Grammarly: either can get you removed, and using AI disqualifies you on the spot. Each person may hold a single account.
  • On some exams and projects, the KeepAlive browser extension from REX and consent to share your precise location so it can confirm your work setting; declining either can shut you out of those exams or projects.
  • Any equipment a post lists. On 29 October 2026 the egocentric video posts needed an Insta360 X5 camera of your own, the English conversation study a laptop or desktop with headphones in a quiet private room, and the interactive data collector a native English speaker with a smartphone and headphones.
  • Permission to freelance remotely where you live. Every contributor is an independent contractor rather than an employee, REX sponsors no visas, and checking that you may work locally is up to you.

The sign-up steps

  1. 1

    Register

Sign-up happens at portal.rex.zone, which is also where rex.zone's Log in link points; every required field has to be completed. Only one account per person is allowed, and a duplicate is deleted for good.

  2. 2

    Sit the Entry Exam

It normally lasts 15 to 20 minutes, and whatever score you get first is final. Use a desktop or laptop on a reliable connection: REX told one reviewer the test is built for desktop.

  3. 3

    Pass Persona's ID check

Persona's job is to confirm you exist and live somewhere REX accepts. When it says no, the usual culprits are an out-of-date ID or an unsharp picture: try again in better light, or with a document that is still valid.

  4. 4

    Apply to Open Opportunities

With the Entry Exam done, pick the posts that match your training. Applying is limited to verified users, and every post spells out which countries may apply. Of the 39 posts up on 29 October 2026, one gave only 'market-range' as pay; the others all quoted an hourly figure.

  5. 5

    Clear any position exam

Specialist projects set exams of their own, and only contributors who qualify are placed on projects. REX names these position exams as one route to more work.

  6. 6

Say yes to a project invitation

If you qualify, invitations may arrive by email (look in spam too) or as dashboard notifications. You are free to decline, and projects last anywhere from a one-week pilot to several months.

  7. 7

Take project questions to its contact

Every project has REX project managers and a named Point of Contact; general support is the wrong place for project questions. How accurate you are decides how much work comes your way; low accuracy or a long absence gets you removed.

  8. 8

    Collect pay for approved hours

Connect Stripe, Payoneer or Wise. Each project pays its own rate for hours you completed and REX approved, usually once a month, though some projects run shorter pay cycles.

REX's general Entry Exam, followed by exams for particular positions

Everyone sits the general Entry Exam before applying anywhere, and specific positions then set exams of their own. After onboarding, REX keeps screening through ID verification and checks on your performance, and it places only qualified contributors on projects.

Format

The Entry Exam takes roughly 15 to 20 minutes and gives you one attempt with no retake; reviewers put it at roughly 25 questions with a percentage score, and REX told one of them the test works best on desktop. What a position exam involves depends on the project; the privacy policy notes that certain ones will not run without the KeepAlive extension and your location permission.

How to prepare

  • Sit it on a desktop or laptop with a dependable connection. Several reviewers lost their only attempt when a question would not load, and REX says the test is designed for desktop.
  • Go slowly and read each question in full: you get no second try and no appeal.
  • Keep AI tools, Grammarly and VPNs off the whole time, since REX disqualifies anyone using AI immediately.
  • Ahead of the ID check, write your profile name in exactly the order your ID shows it, and have a current ID and good lighting ready.
  • Keep proof of your degree at hand: a verified bachelor's degree is REX's minimum.

Why people get rejected

  • Not passing the Entry Exam on the only attempt. No pass mark is published, and reviewers report failing at 85.5% and at 96%.
  • An ID rejected by Persona, typically for poor focus or an expiry date that has passed, or because the profile lists your names in another order.
  • Having no bachelor's degree, the minimum for every REX contributor.
  • Living outside the regions the platform or a given project serves.
  • Not failure but a queue: plenty of verified contributors go months without work while projects stay full, paused or shut to where they live.
How long it takes
There is no published timeline. The exam itself is 15 to 20 minutes, yet reviewers report ID checks lasting from a week to over a month (one was still under review in October 2026 after starting in September) and applications left pending from February to May 2026. REX's reply was that available projects depend on your skill area, your region and your assessment results.
When you get paid
Money reaches you via Stripe, Payoneer or Wise for the hours REX signs off, at whatever the project pays, mostly in a monthly run and sometimes faster. Four things move the rate: project difficulty, your skill level, your accuracy and where you live, and many posts add an explicit country-of-residence adjustment.

Tips to get accepted

  • Check each post's countries and rate first. Nine of the 39 posts open on 29 October 2026 limited who could apply by country, and 23 warned of a country-of-residence pay adjustment whose size they never stated.
  • Disregard the 'Salary Min' and 'Salary Max' figures on rex.zone/jobs pages. Those are search landing pages (the India page quotes the same US yearly salary as the US one); actual openings sit in the portal under Open Opportunities.
  • After a Persona rejection, look at the order of your names before anything else: REX has told Trustpilot reviewers with failed ID checks that a profile name not matching the ID was the probable cause.
  • Set up and double-check your payout account well before your first month closes. A former contractor writes that work through the 25th reached him by the 5th, though several transfers went to the wrong account.
  • Stay in your verified country unless REX agrees otherwise: it fixes a Primary Location at verification, pauses accounts used elsewhere, and has a Travel Request for short spells abroad.
  • Write to recruitment@rex.zone (the address REX itself points people to) about your account, privacy or verification; send project matters to the project's Point of Contact.

What isn't public

  • REX's site carries no published pay table. Its portal's 39 posts on 29 October 2026 paid between $20 an hour (an English conversation recording study) and $150 an hour (experts in medicine, finance, software, chemistry and engineering), with one generalist post stating no figure.
  • The 1,111 rex.zone/jobs pages in its jobs sitemap (read 29 October 2026) are not openings but search landing pages. Every one we sampled carried the date 25-02-2026, the country US and a full-time salary of $63,360 to $126,720 a year, and pointed to the portal login.
  • Worldwide talent is welcome, according to REX, but its privacy policy concedes that some regions cannot register, and which ones is never published.
  • Who founded it, where its office is and whom it works for all go unmentioned. A few Trustpilot reviewers and one former contractor identify REX as Abaka (Abaka AI), and the agent in Remoexperts Inc.'s California filing has the same name as Abaka AI's COO, but neither company confirms any connection.
  • Neither the Entry Exam pass mark nor the size of a referral reward is published.
  • The FAQ asks every contributor for a bachelor's degree and in another answer invites students to apply, without reconciling the two.
  • Outside feedback is limited to a single Trustpilot page (96 reviews averaging 3.8/5 on 29 October 2026, with many five-star reviews arriving in bursts in July 2026, some of them invited) and a few third-party write-ups, two of which we cite. On Reddit, Glassdoor and Indeed we came up empty.

Frequently asked questions

Is RemoExperts legitimate?

Could RemoExperts be a scam?

No. RemoExperts is a real company.

Does RemoExperts really pay health professionals?

Yes. A newer, less established platform with a split record: some contractors report monthly pay on time and helpful support, others long waits for an ID check or a project, sudden offboarding and final pay withheld. Payouts: Approved hours are paid at each project's own rate, typically monthly (some projects pay on shorter cycles), through Stripe, Payoneer or Wise (its FAQ). Its open posts state no payout schedule of their own.

What does RemoExperts pay per hour?

$35–$150/hr. As stated on REX's own open posts (portal.rex.zone, its open-opportunities list) on November 2, 2026: Clinical Medicine AI Specialist, 'typically $70 to $150 USD per hour' for its medical and financial experts, the top of the range kept for highly specialized knowledge (niche surgical experience, a complex diagnostic subspecialty) or long experience; Pharmacy Technician (CPhT or an equivalent registration, 2+ years in a retail, hospital or specialty pharmacy), USD $35 per hour, adjusted by country of residence. Both are open to every country and to verified users only. Across its board, 38 of 39 open posts stated a rate from $20 to $150 an hour on October 29, 2026.

Is RemoExperts worth your time next to a job in care?

RemoExperts pays $35–$150/hr (employer-stated). It is remote contract work on AI beside a clinical job, not patient care, with no guaranteed hours. Worker sentiment: Trustpilot 3.8/5 (96 reviews).

How and when does RemoExperts pay you?

Approved hours are paid at each project's own rate, typically monthly (some projects pay on shorter cycles), through Stripe, Payoneer or Wise (its FAQ). Its open posts state no payout schedule of their own.

Is RemoExperts patient care?

No. RemoExperts is remote contract work on AI, not patient care: you use your professional knowledge to review and improve what AI models say. Never share identifiable patient information in the work.

Is there a second try at REX's Entry Exam?

There is not. REX allows no retakes of the Entry Exam, so give it your full attention the first time.

What does REX pay health professionals?

Rates are set project by project. Across the 39 portal posts on 29 October 2026 pay ran from $20 to $150 an hour: clinical medicine and finance specialists $70 to $150, a pharmacy technician post $35, legal $60 to $140, STEM and software $50 to $150, engineering and CAD $40 to $150, generalist AI trainers $30 to $65, and egocentric video collection $40 to $120 depending on the country.

What is REX's payout schedule?

Monthly as a rule, with shorter cycles on some projects, for completed hours it has approved, through Stripe, Payoneer or Wise.

Can I apply to the jobs shown on rex.zone/jobs?

They are not. Not directly: each is a template page built for search engines that ends at the portal login, and our sample all showed one shared date, country and salary. REX's real openings appear only to verified users, in the portal's Open Opportunities list.

Is REX actually Abaka AI?

Unconfirmed. The operator named in REX's privacy policy is Remoexperts Inc. Its California filing lists an agent with the same name as Abaka AI's COO, some reviewers on its Trustpilot page call it Abaka, and a former contractor writes that Abaka runs REX, but neither company says so itself.

Are AI writing tools or a VPN allowed at REX?

You may not. Neither is. REX removes people from projects for either one, and any help from ChatGPT, Grammarly or similar AI gets you disqualified at once.

Where in the world can you join REX from?

Officially anywhere, unless a given project is restricted, though the privacy policy admits registration is closed in some regions. Some posts name their countries: each egocentric video post takes one (Singapore, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, Canada or South Africa), and its two recording studies take the US, the UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

I am verified on REX: why no tasks?

REX gives five reasons: no seats left on the project, a missing exam or ID check on your side, a project that excludes your region, tasks paused, or accuracy checks still pending.

Is my work on REX monitored?

It is. It is. REX collects hours logged through tracking partners like Hubstaff, runs a KeepAlive extension during some exams and projects, and reads location and device signals in its portal and app to compute an automated risk rating, its privacy policy says.
