About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Infection Prevention team. As an Infection Prevention Specialist, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting surveillance and investigations of healthcare-associated infections
- Developing and implementing infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Collaborating with healthcare teams to educate staff on infection prevention practices
- Providing guidance and support to facility staff on infection prevention and control measures
- Conducting regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with infection prevention standards
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and projects
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain infection prevention and control policies and procedures
- Conduct environmental rounds and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement infection prevention education programs
- Monitor and track infection rates and provide data-driven recommendations for improvement
- Participate in hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and projects
- Maintain accurate and timely records of infection prevention activities
Requirements
- Current Michigan State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
- Certification in Infection Prevention and Control
