About the job
Looking for steady after school work with a schedule you can plan around?
One Step Forward is hiring a Behavior Technician (ABA Therapist) to work with a learner in their home in Lavallette. You'll work one on one with your learner on a consistent weekly schedule, with a BCBA supporting you along the way.
What we offer
- $22 to $32 per hour based on experience, paid biweekly
- Consistent after school hours with the same learner each week
- Ongoing BCBA supervision and support
What you'll do
- Provide one on one ABA therapy in the learner's home
- Implement individualized skill acquisition and behavior intervention programs developed by a BCBA
- Help build communication, social, play and daily living skills
- Use evidence based strategies, including reinforcement and prompting
- Collect accurate session data and complete electronic documentation
- Communicate regularly with your supervising BCBA
Who we're looking for
Experience working with children is preferred, and ABA or RBT experience is a plus. Candidates must be dependable, patient and professional, have reliable transportation for in home sessions, and be able to maintain a consistent weekly schedule.
