Schedule: School-day hours (aligned with student schedules)

Employment Type: 1099 (Independent Contractor)

Availability: to complete assessments within a week or two from assignment and attend IEP meetings

This is a hybrid School Psychologist role supporting students enrolled in a virtual school across North Carolina. Students will be assigned to you based on their geographic location to help keep travel manageable. You’ll meet with students in person to conduct psychological evaluations, while report writing, documentation, and IEP meeting attendance can be completed remotely. We prefer candidates located in central North Carolina who are comfortable traveling up to one hour each way to meet with students.

You’ll work in coordination with school teams and families, supported by clear workflows, structured onboarding, and dedicated internal support. You will be tasked with completing Psychological Assessments throughout the school year, complete documentation in ECATs and attend IEP meetings.

Compensation & Pay Structure

Rate: $60- $71 per hour

Annual Loyalty Bonus

Paid for assessments, IEP meetings and documentation

Paid training ($20/hour) , including HR onboarding, platform training, and school-specific training

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments

Scheduling

• Services are delivered during standard school hours (typically 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
• Scheduling is aligned with student availability
• Structured caseloads and scheduling support

Requirements

• NC Psychology Board license, required
• Department of Public Instruction (DPI) licensure, preferred
• Experience with IEPs and school-based collaboration (1 year minimum experience preferred)
• Experience with ECATS (1 year minimum experience preferred)
• Comfortable using technology for virtual service delivery, including online platforms and documentation systems
• Reliable internet connection and access to appropriate technology for virtual service delivery
