Pediatric Private Duty Nurse (LVN/RN) – Converse, TX and Cibolo, TX

Full-Time, Part-Time, and PRN Opportunities Available

First Steps Nursing and Therapy is seeking compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) to provide one-on-one care for pediatric and young-adult patients in their homes in the Converse/ Cibolo area.

Case Details

• Patient: 22-year-old
• Care Needs: Trach, Vent, Ambulatory
• Schedule: Sunday 12P-8P
• Patient: 19-year-old
• Care Needs: G-tube, O2, Resp. Treatments, Legally Blind, Non-Ambulatory
• Schedule: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday 8A-6P; Sunday 7A-5P
• Patient: 9-year-old
• Care Needs: Trach, Vent, G-tube, Non-Ambulatory
• Schedule: Saturday 6A-6P
• Patient: 4-year-old
• Care Needs: G-tube, Autism
• Schedule: Thursday-Friday 8P-4A
• Patient: 19-year-old
• Schedule: Sunday-Monday 6:30A-6:30P
• Patient: 1-year-old
• Care Needs: G-tube, Ambulatory
• Schedule: Monday-Tuesday 6A-6P
• Patient: 15-year-old
• Care Needs: G-tube, Vent, Resp. Treatments, Non-Ambulatory
• Schedule: Friday-Sunday 7A-7P and Monday-Tuesday 7P-7A( Requires Transfers)

Responsibilities

• Provide direct, hands-on nursing care to the assigned patient
• Assess the patient’s condition and document observations
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies
• Monitor and manage G-tube and respiratory needs
• Provide tracheostomy and ventilator care when assigned to a high-acuity case
• Perform vital signs and ongoing nursing assessments
• Communicate changes in condition to the nursing supervisor and/or physician
• Educate and support family members and caregivers
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in Kantime

Requirements

• Active, unencumbered Texas RN or LVN license
• Current CPR certification
• Reliable transportation
• Ability to perform required physical tasks, including lifting, standing, and transfers
• Pediatric or high-acuity experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to complete required in-office and on-site training
