Job Summary

We're seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to oversee the weekend operations of our nursing department. As a Weekend Manager, you'll be responsible for directing and supervising the implementation of resident care plans, coordinating services on assigned units, and providing leadership and guidance to our nursing staff. Responsibilities

• Assist in directing and supervising the implementation of the resident care plan, ensuring the use of appropriate safety devices, positioning and toileting plans, and infection control measures
• Coordinate and supervise all services on assigned units to achieve a comfortable and homelike atmosphere for our residents
• Regularly round on nursing units to check in with licensed and unlicensed staff, check on residents who are acutely ill or actively dying, and greet new admissions
• Ensure staff treats residents with dignity and respect and adhere to facility policies and procedures
• Create a team-oriented atmosphere that enhances resident care and quality of life by providing support and direction for nurses, assisting with assessment and care planning, and providing education
• Monitor and report incidents, accidents, and resident/staff complaints, and assure complete and accurate documentation
• Facilitate communication between licensed nurses and providers, responsible parties, or outside vendors to ensure resident care needs are met
• Respond to facility emergencies, consult with Unit Managers, and exercise hiring and terminating authority as needed

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and licensed RN/LPN
• Minimum one-year experience in long-term care – supervisory experience preferred
