Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $1,939 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $1,219.38 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical Floor. This position provides nursing care to adult patients with general medical and surgical diagnoses in a short-term acute care setting. The role includes 12-hour day shifts, patient assignments of approximately five to six patients, and participation in unit-based floating as needed.

Job Details

• Schedule: Day shifts are 12 hours, with a minimum of 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; minimum of 2 years of nursing experience; experience managing patient assignments of five to six patients; ability to provide care for adult patients with general medical and surgical diagnoses.
• Preferred Qualifications: Charge nurse experience; chemotherapy administration and monitoring experience.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Clinical Responsibilities: Provide medical-surgical nursing care; administer and monitor chemotherapy; manage feeding tubes; provide non-invasive airway management; perform peripheral line care and management; collaborate with interdisciplinary support services.
• Additional Information: First-time travelers are accepted. Initial orientation may include weekday sessions. A required influenza vaccination is subject to medical or religious exemptions.
