Job Summary

Berlin Health & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a compassionate and dependable Travel Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a 13-week contract in Barre, Vermont.

In this role, you will provide hands-on personal care and daily living assistance to residents in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting. You will work closely with the nursing team to support resident comfort, safety, dignity, and quality of life.

The ideal candidate is a team player who demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, and a commitment to person-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, and toileting.
• Help residents with meals, feeding, ambulation, transfers, turning, and positioning.
• Measure and document vital signs, weight, intake, and output as assigned.
• Provide routine perineal care and incontinence care while maintaining resident privacy and dignity.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
• Observe residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to the nursing team.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow facility policies, infection prevention practices, and safety procedures.
• Adapt to assigned duties and changing resident care needs.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, nurses, and other team members.
• Promote resident dignity, independence, comfort, and well-being.

Qualifications

• Current, active, and unencumbered Vermont Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Ability to provide compassionate, respectful, and resident-centered care.
• Strong observation, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to respond professionally and calmly to challenging situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals.
• Dependable, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of care.
