Nursing Scheduler/HR Assistant

Belle Terrace is seeking a Human Resources Assistant/Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidates must be devoted and compassionate about their chosen careers. The HR Assistant/Scheduler will have experience working with individuals with dementia, have a highly enthusiastic personality, and be able to develop creative activities for our residents.

Responsibilities of Scheduler

• Coordinate scheduling of nursing staff for the facility daily based on the facility census
• Prepares 4-week cycle nursing master schedules by updating the employee information to the master schedule using Excel and Word programs
• Coordinates and maintains the holiday schedules for the nursing department
• Tracks and verifies all employee hours, overtime, and call-outs daily
• Maintains leave requests and shift switches
• Monitors and maintains the overtime for the nursing department
• Communicates staffing needs and changes with Human Resources, Nursing and Administrator
• Assumes accountability for data contained in the employee handbook
• Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
• Input agency hours
• Work at the front desk, Answering Phones
• Help maintain PPD and send reports daily on staffing
• Work with the Human Resources department to maintain current contact information on all staff and ensure all employees are complying with employment procedures related to attendance.

Qualifications

• Experience in Long Term Care/Health care (2 years minimum)
• 2 years experience scheduling or in activities
