Schedule/Shift

This position is scheduled for the evening shift, from 3 PM to 11 PM. Call requirements include two weeknights, and assistance with some weekend call is strongly appreciated.

Job Description

The Ultrasound Technologist will provide high-quality ultrasound services in a supportive hospital environment. The position requires familiarity with the Mindray Resona 7 and GE Fortis imaging systems, as well as experience with abdominal imaging, biophysical profiles for OB, and thyroid imaging. Technologists will work closely with a diverse patient population, primarily focusing on geriatric and adult patients, with very limited pediatric workload.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, adhering to protocols and procedures.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare professionals to provide excellent patient care.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation in the Meditech EHR system.
• Assist in training and mentorship of junior staff and students as necessary.
• Participate in ongoing education and professional development activities.

Required Experience

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a staff sonographer specializing in general diagnostic ultrasound.

Certifications/Licensure

ARDMS certification in Abdomen (ABD) is required. Certifications in GYN, RVT, and OB are preferred.
