Board Certified Behavior Analyst: Assessment Specialist

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and credentialed BCBA to join our team as an Assessment Specialist. This role is exclusively dedicated to performing in-person assessments, conducting 2-3 assessments per week across New York City and Long Island. As an Assessment Specialist, you will not carry a caseload but will focus on delivering high-quality assessments to inform treatment planning for other clinical team members.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 2-3 in-person assessments per week, including functional behavior assessments (FBA), skills assessments, and other relevant evaluation tools.
• Travel to client locations across NYC and Long Island for assessments.
• Prepare comprehensive, actionable assessment reports to support individualized treatment planning.
• Collaborate with clinical team members to ensure assessments are aligned with client treatment goals.
• Provide assessment feedback to families, caregivers, and team members as appropriate.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest assessment tools and best practices.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.

Qualifications

• Board Certification as a Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in good standing.
• Credentialed and active Medicaid ID required.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a BCBA with a focus on assessments, preferred.
• Proficiency with assessment tools such as ABLLS-R, VB-MAPP, AFLS, and functional behavior assessments.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and travel across NYC and Long Island.
