Numbers on care jobs and what they pay, ready to use

Everything CareJobs.Now measures, in files: today's care openings by job type and employer, the hourly rates on those postings, and the figures from all 79 research reports. We email them to your work address, and they are rebuilt every night.

Building something? The openings and pay files are also a free API: your code can call /roles.json and /pay.json directly, with no key and no sign-up. See the API.

408,405

What you receive

Three files, rebuilt every night

The files and the site come from one and the same read of employers' careers sites, so they always match. Request them above and you get one email with three download links.

Hourly pay by job type

/pay.json

Posted hourly rates for every care job type that at least three employers put a rate on. The three-employer floor keeps a single employer's pay scale from passing as the market rate.

For staffing agencies

Which facilities are hiring in your states, every Monday

One list per territory for your sales and account teams: the hospitals, health systems and care employers that opened the most nurse and allied jobs this week, the specialties they need, the pay they post, and the jobs that have sat open three weeks or more.

  • Read from the source: every night from 2,106 employers' own careers sites, so a new opening shows up the day it is posted, before it reaches the big job boards.
  • This week so far: 69,133 new US care openings, each with its employer, town, kind of job and any pay it states.
  • One row per employer: open jobs, new this week, open three weeks or more, nurse jobs by specialty (ICU, ER, OR, L&D, med-surg, telemetry and more), the median posted RN rate, allied and CNA openings, and a link to every job.

Price: $149 a month per state, or $499 a month for all states, after a free sample for your states. Need every job instead of a list? The full daily feed of every opening with its posted pay starts from $1,500 a month.

API

Fetch them in your own code

Scripts can pull each file over HTTPS from any origin without an API key. If a person opens one of these URLs in a browser, they land back on this page to request the files by email.

curl https://carejobs.now/roles.json

const res = await fetch("https://carejobs.now/pay.json");
const { pay_by_work_type } = await res.json();

Both answer JSON with CORS open to every origin. The endpoints are described in an OpenAPI 3.1 file.

Report data

Downloadable figures for each research report

Each research report offers its numbers as files as well: the full set or a single chart, current or as a locked monthly edition. Request them on that report's page and they go to your work email. Each CSV line holds one published number with its figure, row, measure, unit and value.

MCP connector

Let your AI assistant look up care jobs

Connect our remote MCP server and Claude, ChatGPT or any MCP client can find openings, check pay, and look up employers and states. Each job it returns carries a link to apply here.

  • License: CC BY 4.0. Name CareJobs.Now, link to the pay report, and quote the temporal_coverage date.
  • Access: people receive the files at a work email; code reads them over HTTPS with CORS on and no key.
  • To cite a fixed version: dated snapshots, including travel nurse weekly pay by specialty and state, are open on Zenodo with a DOI: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23395727 (it always resolves to the newest version).
  • State tables (22 and 23 Oct 2026): open jobs and posted staff RN pay in rural and metro counties by state (CSV, method), posted pay for nursing assistants and caregivers by state (CSV, method), posted pay for 21 roles, from staff nurses to medical coders, nationally and by state (CSV, method), and the share of staff RN postings that state their pay, by state (CSV, method), free to use with credit (CC BY 4.0).
  • Travel nurse pay: this week's weekly-pay medians and middle half by specialty and state, the figures on travel nurse pay, are also a file for code at /travel-nurse-pay.json.
  • Open jobs with their pay: the jobs our jobs widget shows, as JSON for your own design, with the same options (kind, occupation, state, town, limit): /jobs.json?state=TX&occupation=registered-nurse.
  • Freshness: careers sites are read every night, so polling more often than that gets identical numbers. Caching for a few hours is fine.
  • Method: rate counting, excluded postings and the three-employer rule are explained in our methodology.
