Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,080 a week in all, a taxable rate of $22.57 an hour plus $1,267 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Respiratory Therapist Registered (RT PEDS) – Location unspecified. This position involves providing respiratory therapy services for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in various inpatient and emergency care settings. The role includes managing breathing treatments, conducting ABGs, and assisting with intubations in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

  • Certifications: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association), Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) via NBRC, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, working five days a week with weekends scheduled as per the rotation, including holiday work as needed, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
  • Responsibilities include performing floor duties such as breathing treatments, ABGs, capillary sticks for I-Stat, managing respiratory equipment (e.g., Puritan Bennett 840's, BiPAP V60's, High Flow-Airvo 2's), and assisting with intubations.
  • The position requires a valid driver's license and adherence to a 50-mile radius rule for submissions.
  • Orientation includes 1-3 shifts with a preceptor as needed.
  • Equipment used includes ventilators, BiPAP, and high-flow devices.
  • Candidate must be able to assist with intubations but not independent in intubation procedures.
  • The hospitalist team or intensivist is on-site 24/7, with supervisor and charge RTs managing daily operations.
