Pay as Cross Country posts it: about $2,999 a week in all, a taxable rate of $20 an hour plus $2,198.86 a week in housing and meal stipends.

Job Summary

Infection Preventionist, Infection Control: Responsible for surveillance, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections; monitoring reportable conditions; educating employees, patients, families, and visitors; and supporting comprehensive infection prevention and control programs. The role develops and maintains policies, procedures, education programs, data reports, and performance improvement initiatives aligned with evidence-based practices, accreditation standards, and regulatory requirements.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC); bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field such as nursing, public health, epidemiology, microbiology, or a similar discipline; current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; current flu vaccination; minimum of 3 years of acute care, infection control, data collection, performance improvement, or risk management experience; experience with basic statistics and epidemiological principles.
• Preferred Qualifications: Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field, such as a Master of Public Health or Master of Science in Nursing; Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality certification; long-term care infection prevention and control experience.
• Schedule: Day shift, 8 hours per shift, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Additional Information: Supports the development, implementation, maintenance, and updating of infection prevention and control plans and programs. Collects, trends, analyzes, and maintains infection control data and statistical reports; supports infection prevention education and training; conducts new and annual employee infection prevention and control orientation; serves as an infection prevention and control resource; participates in committees and performance improvement activities; and may travel between assigned sites to assess, educate, and train staff.
