Case Management Specialist, CM EXP - This position is based in an unnamed healthcare facility, dedicated to providing comprehensive case management services. Job Details

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8-hour shifts, 40 hours per week, from 08:00 AM to 04:30 PM, starting 11/16/2026 and ending 02/15/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Active Maryland or Compact State RN license, BLS certification, and Care Management certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in acute hospital settings, patient admission criteria, appeals and denials, audits, benefits eligibility, care coordination, CMS guidelines, continued stay reviews, CPT coding and billing, Department of Health regulations, medical necessity determination, disability case management, discharge planning, disease management, DRG coding, emergency department procedures, HIPAA compliance, ICD 10 coding, ICU experience, MS degree, DME needs assessment, OSHA standards, plan of care development, prior authorization process, SDU/PCU/IMC/Obs units, surgical services, compliance with the Joint Commission and national safety goals, workers compensation case management, and the ability to float within scope without restrictions.
• Additional Information: No weekends or holidays are required. The position involves working with adult and geriatric populations, managing a daily census of approximately 25 patients in a community hospital setting, and supporting interdisciplinary teams with interpretation, social services, and care coordination. Candidates must be comfortable floating within scope and adhere to local policy regarding travel and schedule restrictions.
