Job Summary

Radiation Therapist – Radiation Oncology. The position provides radiation therapy services in an acute care setting for adult and pediatric patients, with primary responsibilities involving advanced treatment techniques and operation of specialized radiation therapy equipment. The schedule includes daytime shifts with either five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts per week.

Job Details

• Required Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; registered Radiation Therapist through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT); valid state license; proficiency with intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT), image-guided radiation therapy (IGRT), stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT).
• Schedule: Day shifts consisting of five 8-hour shifts or four 10-hour shifts, with a minimum of 40 hours per week. Weekend, holiday, and call requirements are not scheduled.
• Additional Information: Provides care for an average of approximately 25 patients per linear accelerator, including a mix of adult and pediatric patients. Responsibilities may include treatment delivery using a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator, Varian Trilogy equipment, a Varian ARIA Oncology Information System, and Siemens Somatom go. Department-specific orientation is provided. The care setting is acute care within a Level I trauma environment.
