PRN Sterile Processing Technician

Summit View Surgery Center is a modern, multi-specialty facility equipped with two operating rooms and one treatment room, designed to support a safe, efficient, and patient-centered surgical experience. Our dedicated team collaborates across specialty areas including Pain Management, Otolaryngology, and Colon & Rectal surgery, ensuring high-quality outcomes in a streamlined outpatient setting. The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required
• CRCST or CSPDT certification preferred
• Six months of experience, preferred
• 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
• Experience with all types of sterilizers.
• Knows operating room instrumentation.
• Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
• Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
• Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
• Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed
• Must be an excellent team player and have the ability to communicate with staff, patients and physicians
