Medical Telemetry Unit.

Hours/Shift: 36-hours per week, Day Shift

Education

• Degree or Diploma in Registered Nursing (required)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing- BSN or MSN (Preferred)
• Students in the process of completing an accredited nursing program.

Certification/Licensure

• Registered nursing License (Required)
• Students in the process of obtaining a Registered Nursing License.
• BLS required within 90 days of hire

Experience

• None required
• 1 year of acute care (preferred)
• Previous healthcare experience (preferred)

Department/Position Overview: 3 North is a Medical Telemetry Unit located on the third floor of SAMC. This unit has 24 beds. This unit most often treats patients in need of medical telemetry, observation, cardiac monitoring and treatment for low-risk chest pain, COPD, pneumonia, and congestive heart failure.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs. Sentara Albemarle Medical Center , located in Elizabeth City, NC, serves northeastern North Carolina with a caring team of approximately 650 employees and 150 medical providers. Our 182-bed facility features 25 specialties including emergency, maternity, orthopedics, medical, and surgical care in addition to our outpatient laboratory, imaging, and comprehensive breast services. In 2022, Sentara broke ground on a new campus, a state-of-the-art 88-bed hospital to replace the current 60-year-old facility on North Road Street. The 135-acre campus, coming out of the ground at Halstead Boulevard Extended and Thunder Road, will be known as the Sentara Albemarle Regional Health Campus. It is projected to cost about $200 million, up from the original estimate of $158 million, due to sharp spikes in costs for building materials and medical equipment.
